Information
As quantum computing moves from the laboratory to real-world deployment, one question is becoming central: how can quantum processors be integrated efficiently into existing HPC environments? In this talk, Jean Senellart, CTPO of Quandela, will discuss what it really takes to operate quantum computers inside HPC centers, beyond the usual narrative of hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
Focusing on the photonic platform, the presentation will highlight a set of often overlooked advantages that make this architecture especially well suited for HPC integration. These include operation without heavy cryogenic systems, reduced infrastructure constraints, modular scaling perspectives, and a natural fit with remote access and datacenter-oriented deployment models. The talk will also address the practical implications for facility requirements, energy consumption, maintainability, and system interoperability.
By examining quantum computing through the lens of HPC operations, this session will show that photonic quantum computing is not only a promising computational approach, but also a pragmatic pathway toward hybrid infrastructure by relying on GPU-QPU interconnects.
