Information
This BoF is aimed at students and early-career researchers interested in entering and developing a career in high-performance computing. Based on feedback from previous years, the session has been reshaped to focus more strongly on concrete opportunities and active audience engagement.
The first part of the session will present opportunities available to students in the HPC ecosystem, including study and training pathways, openly available learning resources, internships and traineeships, and early-career initiatives across academia, supercomputing centres, and industry. The emphasis will be on practical information and clear next steps.
The second part will be fully interactive and dedicated to discussion of different HPC career paths, with a focus on academia and research, supercomputing centres, and industry. Through moderated discussion and audience questions, participants will explore what these paths involve and how to navigate them.
By combining a clear overview of opportunities with open discussion, the BoF aims to help participants make informed decisions and connect with the wider HPC community at ISC.
