EAR Energy Aware Runtime

EAR (Energy Aware Runtime) is a European deep-tech company specializing in energy and power management software for HPC and AI infrastructures. Our mission is to help data centers, research institutions, and enterprises run more sustainably by increasing performance per watt rather than simply reducing performance to save energy.

Our core product, Energy Aware Runtime (EAR), is a system software that monitors, analyzes, and optimizes energy and power usage in real time across CPUs and GPUs—from individual jobs to full data centers. EAR enables smart power capping, dynamic frequency control, and workload-aware optimization, delivering up to 20–50% improvement in performance per watt without impacting application results.

EAR is hardware-agnostic, non-intrusive, and runs live at runtime. It is already deployed in major European HPC and AI centers such as Barcelona Supercomputing Center, SURF, LRZ, EDF, and several EuroHPC and EU-funded projects. By combining advanced monitoring, intelligent optimization, and clear sustainability metrics, EAR helps organizations reduce energy costs, increase system throughput, and meet their environmental and ESG goals.
