Information
High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud Computing both provide highly parallel and scalable resources, but they still have important differences. While HPC traditionally relies on specialized supercomputers and clusters, often using a batch system to execute jobs, the cloud offers scalable, flexible, and cost-effective resources. The convergence of both technologies opens new opportunities but also presents technical, economic, and organizational challenges. This session explores both perspectives: How can HPC workloads be efficiently executed in the cloud, and how can HPC centers leverage cloud technologies to enhance their infrastructure?
