Native Processing Server (NPS)

The Q.ANT Native Processing Server is a photonic analog processor as 19“ rack-mountable server enabling energy-efficient AI and HPC. Its core is the Native Processing Unit (NPU), a photonic AI Accelerator as PCIe card. The NPU computes key AI operations like matrix multiplications with optical effects (interference, phase shifts) in one single step on the photonic chip – eliminating the production of heat and the energy-intensive digital translation into 0/1 logic. Its Plug & Play system design enables a seamless integration into data centers and the existing AI software stack, providing immediate access to photonic computing. Potential applications include: AI model training and inference, scientific and physical simulations, real-time processing of complex mathematical equations.
