Information

This BoF invites the HPC C++ developer community to discuss the ongoing evolution and future direction of the ISO C++ standard. Bringing together leaders from the ISO C++ committee - including researchers, compiler and library implementers, hardware vendors, and authors of key C++ features - this session will update attendees on recent advancements in C++23 and C++26, such as execution control, reflection, and linear algebra, and their significance for HPC.

Through interactive discussions, the BoF will explore how to grow the C++ community, address challenges like portability to complex hardware, safety, and education, and provide pathways for getting involved in standardization. Feedback will directly inform the development of future ISO C++ capabilities suited for HPC.

This BoF is targeted at developers, researchers, and users of C++-based programming models - particularly those from distributed and heterogeneous environments. This session builds on the success of previous ISO C++ for HPC BoFs at SC and ISC. With C++ playing an increasingly central role in EuroHPC and beyond, this BoF is an essential forum for shaping the future of C++ in HPC.
