Information
Join the HPSF Community BOF to connect with the members of the foundation, learn about its activity and discover how you can join forces with the teams behind some of the leading HPC software technologies. The HPC hardware landscape is diverse and architecture innovation is not slowing down. Keeping up with these developments becomes more challenging and requires substantial sustainability efforts for HPC software. The High Performance Software Foundation was created to help address these challenges, by providing a neutral platform to organize collaborative development efforts of HPC open source software products. Launched at ISC 24, HPSF is supported by many of the leading HPC institutions from government, academia and industry. It creates a home for HPC software efforts that are true community projects with contributions from diverse institutions, and for the projects which want to get there in the future. The projects supported by the foundation address concerns from across the HPC software stack, including deployment via containers, building and package management, programming models, scientific libraries, and visualization. Furthermore, HPSF enables the software teams to collaborate on cross cutting concerns such as supply chain security and continuous integration through its working groups. At the BOF a panel of HPSF community leadership members will provide a short overview of the foundation’s activities in the last year before pivoting to an interactive questions and answers session. The audience will be able to learn more about the benefits of joining HPSF as a member organization or a project, ways to participate in the foundation’s activities such as the working groups, and the plans of the foundation to strengthen the HPSF community.
