The flagship supercomputer Fugaku of Japan has achieved notable milestones, including various scientific and industrial applications and a 2023 Gordon Bell Prize finalist. For our next advancement both in traditional HPC and AI for science, we have finished the feasibility study for the next-generation supercomputer and are now starting the FugakuNEXT development targeting its operation beginning around 2030. This talk introduces the overview of the FugakuNEXT development project including its targeted performance both for HPC and AI as well as our findings in our feasibility study.
