Located in Garching near Munich, LRZ is a leading HPC and HPDA facility offering national and European-level supercomputing resources. It supports users with specialised HPC code portability and scalability expertise while ensuring energy-efficient operations. LRZ is also at the forefront of future computing, exploring quantum technologies and integrating AI into large-scale HPC systems. Alongside its role as a national centre, LRZ serves as the IT backbone for Munich universities and Bavarian research organisations, complemented by extensive education programmes in HPC, AI and big data.
