The talk focuses on the impact of AI/HPC technologies on society and the impact of society on AI/HPC progress. Society enables research, and benefits from it, directly and indirectly. What is necessary for a society to widely adopt a technology? Is it necessary at all? In this talk, I will try to answer all the questions and predict the future, perhaps seriously.
